Moon Girl Meets Girl-Moon!

I haven't written about Moon Girl lately. There's this great story line in MOON GIRL AND DEVIL DINOSAUR #19-20, where Lunella Lafeyette receives a distress call. She's deep in space and separated from her father. Lunella jerry-riggs a spaceship and goes out to help this frightened girl.

Lunella lands on a moon in search of the young girl, Illa, but cannot find her. It actually takes Earth's smartest person way to long to realize that Illa isn't lost on the moon. She is the moon!

It turns out that Illa is Ego the Living Planet's daughter. She briefly saw her father after her birth, but then rotated away from him so that she's constantly looking away from him! Being the nice guy that he is, it apparently never occurs to Ego to respond to her cries and turn her to face him.

The rest of the issue centers around Lunella's attempts to get herself home -- despite Illa's efforts to keep her new "friend" around. Can Lunella get back to Earth with a faulty space-engine and against the will of an angry Girl-Moon?

Hopefully you're reading MOON GIRL AND DEVIL DINOSAUR.It's fun stuff issue after issue!
